The Great Australian Marsupial Night Stalk

Tiwest operates a comprehensive community relations program that has helped to build strong links between the company and local residents in its areas of operations.

In 2004 Tiwest entered into a three-year partnership with Perth Zoo to support The Great Australian Marsupial Night Stalk in recognition of the importance of community education and participation in conservation efforts.

The Night Stalk program involves spotlight surveys conducted around Australia by members of the public in August and September. These surveys collect vital information about Australia's marsupials and feral animals.

Data collected from the Night Stalk surveys is collated and analysed by Perth Zoo. The Zoo then makes the results of the program available to scientists and conservation groups across Australia to help develop protection and recovery strategies.
